Parm Plummer (@ParmPlummer) is a Senior Teacher with 23 years’ of teaching experience, in the UK and abroad, currently living in Jersey, CI. She is a Founding Fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching of which she has been a member since 2017. She is currently studying for her MEd in Educational Leadership and Management and is a Global Strategic Lead for the grassroots leadership organisation @WomenEd and established the @WomenEdJersey network. Her involvement with this organisation has led to speaking and writing opportunities within the UK and in the Channel Islands. She is fascinated by pedagogy and the influence of school culture and wholly believes that school success is not simply measured by exam results but by the character of the young adults as they go onto their next stage of life. She hopes to disrupt, agitate and lift others and wishes to see more flexible working, visible diversity and a reduction in the gender pay gap.
