Jersey transgender female, specialising in personal protection and awareness. A forty year veteran of the martial arts, Róisín is an internationally renowned teacher of Aikido, a Japanese martial style, and teaches in Jersey and regularly runs seminars in the Channel Islands, Eire, UK, France, Italy and Turkey for able bodied and differently abled people. She is a retired police officer and current security operative for a local company.
Róisín is a nationally qualified Security Instructor specialising in teaching control and restraint and handcuffing to law enforcement personnel and conflict management and physical intervention for the security industry. She is regularly invited to speak at national and international events. She founded and continues to run her own martial arts facility (est.1987).
