Shelaine returned to her home island of Guernsey in 2006 after a career in marketing in the UK, culminating in her role as European Marketing Director for Yahoo!
She founded local brain injury charity, Headway Guernsey, and went on to chair the Guernsey Disability Alliance for 7 years, campaigning for the introduction of disability equality legislation.
Shelaine is now Chair of Women in Public Life (womeninpubliclife.gg), a proactive group of volunteers that inspire and support the women of Guernsey to stand for all forms of public office, both elected and appointed.
